Accessibility Minute - Assistive Technology Tips and Tricks for Everyone

Oct 12, 2012

Show Notes

Hi folks. Welcome to “Accessibility Minute”, your weekly look at Assisitive Technology—those clever tools and devices designed to help people who have difficulties with vision, mobility, hearing or other special needs.

Have you ever struggled to see the small print on your computer's screen? Did you realize that there are several very useful programs that will allow you to make a large print version of whatever is shown on your computer's screen?  Screen magnification systems are widely used to enlarge text, increase the size of the mouse pointer or even invert the colors of your computer screen to make email, web pages and other computer-based information more accessible.  Check our show notes for information on how to find a screen magnifier for your computer.  Some of them are even free!

For more information, to read our blog or to drop us a line, visit EasterSealsTech.com. That was your accessibility minute for this week. I’m Wade Wingler with the INDATA Project at Easter Seals Crossroads, in Indiana.
