Hey
there! Welcome to Accessibility Minute, your weekly look
at Assistive Technology, those clever tools and devices
designed to help people who have difficulties with vision,
mobility, hearing or other special needs!
You
may or may not be familiar with Proloquo2Go, an award-winning
communication app for iOS devices. The app's most
recent update made Proloquo2Go available on the Apple
Watch! On the Apple Watch, this app will serve as a
single switch for Proloquo2Go on the iPhone. According to its
description on iTunes, "Tapping on the screen on the Apple Watch will
activate scanning and each subsequent tap will be treated as a
switch hit in Proloquo2Go for iPhone. This allows users with
fine motor challenges to use the Apple Watch as a
switch."
