Hey there! Welcome to Accessibility Minute, your weekly look at Assistive Technology, those clever tools and devices designed to help people who have difficulties with vision, mobility, hearing or other special needs!

Learning to tie one's own shoes is no easy task. It is especially difficult for children with autism because they learn a little differently. Mendy Hassen founded One, Two, Tie My Shoe, which is a fun, colorful kit that helps children of all abilities learn to tie their own shoes!

The kit features colorful special rings which hold "bunny ears" together so the child is able to make a bow and tie his or her own shoes. Hassen believes the bunny ear method is an easy way to coordinate children's fingers and provides an easy mental image to remember.

The One, Two, Tie My Shoe Kit Includes:

- Instructions on shoe tying
- Illustrations on how to tie shoes
- 12 "Special Colorful Rings" to tie the shoes
- A success sticker that reads, "Look! I can tie my own shoes!"
