Accessible Golf
Hi folks. Welcome to “Accessibility Minute”, your weekly look at Assisitive Technology—those clever tools and devices designed to help people who have difficulties with vision, mobility, hearing or other special needs.
Do you ever hit the links? Golfing is a very popular summertime activity for many people. With an aging population that often experiences challenges with vision, mobility, balance or other age-related disabilities, accessible golf is an important recreational activity.
The National Alliance for Accessible Golf provides a variety of educational and technical resources for golfers with disabilities, a grant program to help pay for accessible golfing programs and even a program that teaches inclusion of people with disabilities through golf.
Their website: www.accessgolf.org is full of resources—check it out!
