Hi folks. Welcome to “Accessibility Minute”, your weekly look at Assisitive Technology—those clever tools and devices designed to help people who have difficulties with vision, mobility, hearing or other special needs.
In the world of special education, accessibility in the areas of Science Technology Engineering and Math can be particularly challenging. One computer program that is designed to help with this is Math Pad. Originally developed under a grant from the National Institutes of Health, Math Pad helps student with disabilities to organize their math, change the layout and font and even provide audio feedback. Check our show notes for a link to learn more about MathPad.
