Hi folks. Welcome to “Accessibility Minute”, your weekly look at Assisitive Technology—those clever tools and devices designed to help people who have difficulties with vision, mobility, hearing or other special needs.
Many people have type 1 or type 2 diabetes. With that disease often comes vision impairment or other disabilities. Until there is a cure, there are all kinds of assistive technology devices to help people with diabetes and limited vision. Some of the more popular assistive technologies in this category include:
Talking blood glucose meters, talking blood pressure cuffs, large print blood sugar log, syringe magnifier, medication labelers, & talking bathroom scales. Check our show notes for a link to some of them.
