Accessibility Minute - Assistive Technology Tips and Tricks for Everyone

Jul 26, 2013

Show Notes

Hi folks. Welcome to “Accessibility Minute”, your weekly look at Assisitive Technology—those clever tools and devices designed to help people who have difficulties with vision, mobility, hearing or other special needs.

If you're the parent of a student with special needs you probably already understand the value of parents helping parents.  The Parent Advocacy Coalition for Educational Rights (or PACER Center) was founded in 1977 to improve the lives of children with special needs in Minnesota.  Over 30 years later, this world-renown resource provides over 30 programs for parents, students and professionals.  Examples include: Family Center on Technology and Disability, Exploring Interests in Technology and Engineering, Bullying Prevention, and even puppet show programs to foster understanding.  Visit PACER.org to learn more.

For more information, to read our blog or to drop us a line, visit EasterSealsTech.com. That was your accessibility minute for this week. I’m Wade Wingler with the INDATA Project at Easter Seals Crossroads, in Indiana.
