Hey there! Welcome to Accessibility Minute, your weekly
look at Assistive Technology, those clever tools and devices
designed to help people who have difficulties with vision,
mobility, hearing or other special needs!
Senseez is
a company offering several fun-shaped, portable, vibrating cushions
that offer a gentle sensation when they are squeezed or sat on.
The gentle vibration is noted to relax and sooth the body.
Or as the company says, "Senseez eases the senses!"
While the cushions are ideal for children with loads of
energy, they are especially ideal for children with autism, ADHD,
or sensory processing disorder.
The cushions are currently available in four different styles:
Blue Square, Orange Circle, Red Octagon, and Soccer Ball.
Each cushion is made out of vinyl and is powered by 2 AA
batteries (not included). The cushions are noted to
benefit:
Those who get distracted easily
Individuals who can't sit still for long periods of time
