Hey there! Welcome to Accessibility Minute, your weekly look
at Assistive Technology, those clever tools and devices designed to
help people who have difficulties with vision, mobility, hearing or
other special needs!
Have you ever needed to take a picture instantly, but couldn't
get your phone out fast enough? Capturing moments
instantaneously just got a whole lot easier with a new device
called the Blincam!
The Blincam is a wearable camera that attaches to any pair of
glasses and allows you to take a picture completely
hands-free! Once it's attached to your eyewear, all you have
to do is look at what you want a picture of and blink! It
features a patent-pending, eye-movement sensor in the device, which
is able to distinguish a natural blink from a deliberate one, so
you won't just take random pictures!
The device pairs with your smartphone via Bluetooth, so once
you take a picture, it'll automatically upload to your phone.
Then you can easily select the images you'd like to
save!
The Blincam is about to enter the crowdfunding stage on
October 10. To learn more or to sign up for updates on the
device, go to Blincam.Co. http://www.blincam.co/
