Hi folks. Welcome to “Accessibility Minute”, your weekly look at Assisitive Technology—those clever tools and devices designed to help people who have difficulties with vision, mobility, hearing or other special needs.
The world is abuzz with the summer olympics happening in London in 2012. Did you know that accessibility for spectators with disabilities is of primary concern for the organizers? They offer a number of accessibility features including: accessible parking and transportation, audio descriptions and enhancements, facilities for assistance dogs, restrooms with lifts and free tickets for people who serve as attendants for spectators with disabilities. For a complete listing of the accessibility features of the 2012 Olympics visit London2012.com slash spectators slash accessibility or check our show notes for a link.
