Accessibility Minute - Assistive Technology Tips and Tricks for Everyone

Nov 2, 2012

Show Notes

Hi folks. Welcome to “Accessibility Minute”, your weekly look at Assisitive Technology—those clever tools and devices designed to help people who have difficulties with vision, mobility, hearing or other special needs.

Sometimes assistive technology is expensive.  Sometimes it's free.  Many people know that there are some great, free accessibility features built into Windows and the Macintosh operating systems. There are some very useful open source assistive technology tools.  These range from screen magnification programs to programs that will speed up your typing or let you control your computer's mouse with your keyboard.  OATsoft.org is an online repository for many great open source assistive technology applications.  Visit O-A-T-S-O-F-T DOT ORG to find them.
