Accessibility Minute - Assistive Technology Tips and Tricks for Everyone

Sep 20, 2013

Show Notes

Hi folks. Welcome to “Accessibility Minute”, your weekly look at Assisitive Technology—those clever tools and devices designed to help people who have difficulties with vision, mobility, hearing or other special needs.

Just this week, Apple released iOS7 --or the iPHone operating system version 7 -- to the general public.   The iPhone and iPad are also quickly becoming some of the most popular assistive technology devices used by many people with disabilities.  Just one of the new exciting features released is camera switch access.  With this feature, a user who can't use their hands to touch their device or use their voice to issue voice commands can control their device by looking left or right and using those head movements to surf the web, send an email or play a game.  to learn more, visit apple.com/enable
