Accessibility Minute - Assistive Technology Tips and Tricks for Everyone

Apr 22, 2022

Hey there! Welcome to Accessibility Minute, your weekly look at Assistive Technology, those clever tools, and devices designed to help people who have difficulties with vision, mobility, hearing, or other special needs!

Snapchat is a mobile messaging application used to share photos, videos, text, and drawings.  This free app recently released a new American Sign Language (ASL) lens.

This new ASL lens teaches users how to fingerspell their name and practice the ASL alphabet.  Users can also play games to test their signing skills.

It was made in partnership with SignAll, a company that designs AI technology for sign language translation.

You can use the lens on Android and iOS devices by searching for “ASL Alphabet” in the Lens Explorer.
