Hi folks. Welcome to “Accessibility Minute”, your weekly look at Assisitive Technology—those clever tools and devices designed to help people who have difficulties with vision, mobility, hearing or other special needs.
Teachers, therapists and families are on the constant look out for ways to increase the classroom participation of students with disabilities. To help facilitate team collaboration and promote the appropriate use of technology in the classroom, the University of Colorado Denver has created Project Participate. This web site includes great suggestions for gadgets & gizmos, High-Tech How-Tos, Curriculum Creations and Inclusion Strategies -- all targeted toward more participation by students with disabilities. Visit www.ProjectParticipate.org to get some great ideas!
