Accessibility Minute - Assistive Technology Tips and Tricks for Everyone

Aug 9, 2013

Show Notes

Hi folks. Welcome to “Accessibility Minute”, your weekly look at Assisitive Technology—those clever tools and devices designed to help people who have difficulties with vision, mobility, hearing or other special needs.

CAST or the Center for Applied Special Technology was founded in 1984 when a small group of special educators became involved in using computers for the benefit of their students.  In the more than 25 years from it's inception, CAST has become the premier resource in the area of Universal Design for Learning.  As educators work to meet the needs of students with disabilities, the resources available from CAST are very valuable.  At you will find online tools like BookBuilder, iSolveIt Math puzzles, and the UDL Curriculum Toolkit to help educators create materials that are more accessible to students WITH or WITHOUT disabilities.
